Bulls Fans Signed Up!

FT Team member Soroya Julian signing up a Bulls fanThe Trust was out in force at the Bradford Bulls on Friday, and signed up over 150 members to the Foundation Trust. Bradford District Care Trust has been working closely with the Bulls ot promote Foundation Trust status, and the difference it will make in keeping local services in the hands of local people. Everyone who signed up on Friday was entered into a prize draw to win pairs of VIP tickets, a signed shirt and a signed ball. The draw will be made later this week.

The Trust had volunteers from across its different services present - thanks go out to Juanaid Ismail, Abdul Ismail, Graham Whitfield, Andy Arnfield, Ian Conyers, Matthew Barber, Diane Palmer, Sam Smith, Michael Pears, Pam Reddihough, Soroya Julian, Michael Cockle, Maggie Asquith, Alison Dunlop, Carolyn Stafford, Anne Callan, Brendan Fatchett and Sam Hirst.

Students Sign Up

Students at Bradford University had the opportunity to sign up as members of the Foundation Trust, with Bradford District Care Trust (BDCT) present at the University’s Volunteering Fair. BDCT is working closely with UCAN, which promotes volunteering by students. “Students are an important part of our community,” said Brendan Fatchett, Head of Corporate Affairs. “We want to make sure that the Foundation Trust will represent everyone in Bradford, Airedale and Craven,” he continued.

The Trust will be present at a number of University events over the next few months, including Fresher’s Fair in September. In addition, work is being carried out with the School of Healthcare Studies to promote the Trust to student clinicians.

Support Us Tonight!

Bradford District Care Trust will be out in force tonight, signing up members of the Foundation Trust at the Super League clash between Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos. Paul Deacon, club captain at the Bulls has already signed up, and is supporting the Trust in its bid to become an FT.

Everyone who signs up on the night will be entered into a prize draw to win VIP tickets to the Bulls vs Hull game on the 17th August, a signed shirt or a signed ball. If you are going to the game on Friday, then you can sign up by asking one of our staff - you won’t miss us in our FT teeshirts!

Bulls Captain Signs Up to Foundation Trust

Paul Deacon signs up as a Foundation Trust memberPaul Deacon, captain of the Bradford Bulls rugby league team, signed up as a member of the Foundation Trust today.

Deacon said: “We all support and believe in this campaign. I would like to take this opportunity to urge our great supporters to get behind this campaign and sign up to become members. By doing this they can influence the future of local NHS services.”

The Trust will be at the Bulls home game against Leeds Rhinos on Friday 23rd May to sign up fans. Everybody who signs up at the match will be entered into a prize draw to win free VIP tickets, a signed shirt or ball.

We Need Your Help!

Come along and help us out at the Bradford Bulls to recruit Foundation Trust members. As part of our Foundation Trust membership campaign, we will be signing up people at the Bulls vs Rhinos match on Friday 23rd May from 5.10 – 8.15. You can help out by volunteering to sign up members of the public at the game.

Even if you can only come along for 1 hour it will be a great help!

Don’t worry if you don’t think you’ll know what to say. The FT team will spend quality time with you before the event, to prepare you for the day. If you can volunteer for this event, then let Tom Sheppard know, either by emailing ft@bdct.co.uk or ringing (01274) 363552.
