Front page of Connections In this edition we caught up with Hallam Street Sound Band, three members of the band, who have experienced a psychotic episode, took time out to tell us how the pioneering ‘Jam’ service has given them opportunities and aided recovery. This month the spotlight illuminates the mysteries of Occupational Therapy and we also take a look at the 2006-2007 staff survey. Click here to download the latest edition.

We hope you enjoy it! If you have a story you’d like us to feature in a future edition, or have a hard copy please email communications@bdct.nhs.uk

Meeting with SACAR

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

SACAR BuildingAs part of the ongoing effort to explain the FoundationTrust process to various groups who are involved with the Trust, a meeting was held with SACAR - a charity dedicated to supporting those with Asperger’s Syndrome and autism. Staff had many questions about the Foundation Trust, the way it would operate, and what it would mean for them and the clients they supported.

It is important to the Trust that voluntary sector groups are included in our discussions about FT status. They will play a key part in helping us become more responsive to local needs. As the FT application process moves forwards, we will be discussing the issues raised with charities and other groups, then bringing their feedback back to the Trust.

If you are involved with a thrid sector organisation, and would like to discuss Foundation Trust issues, please ring the FT office on (01274) 363552 to arrange a meeting.
